DISCOVER RIMAC TODAY: FACTORY TOUR

with Mate Rimac - Episode 1/4

In 2011 Mate Rimac emerged from the garage, and decided to take his one-man-band show on an intense journey. Today, we are a 550+ people team in several locations, growing further strongly. Mate’s dream was to show the potential of electric drivetrains and to build the world’s most powerful electric hypercar. That is exactly what Rimac is doing today.

In less than 10 years, Rimac grew into an electric hypercar manufacturer, and a go-to address when it comes to high-performance electrification technology, supplying to some of the biggest names in the industry: Hyundai, Porsche, Aston Martin, Koenigsegg and more. The company is vertically integrated with many of the components produced in house, what makes a walk through our facilities fascinating.

Follow the series of 4 episodes in which Mate thoroughly takes us through Rimac facilities as they are today, or were back a month ago when this was filmed. The pace of growth at Rimac is hard to keep up with – and as we write and share this, half of the production has already moved to a new facility.

The next challenge is to grow from a low volume manufacturer of complex high-end electrification components, to an established Tier-1 supplier for the industry. In the new facilities that are currently under way, Rimac is planning new high volume production lines for battery packs, powertrain systems and the C_Two hypercar production starting in 2020.

C_TWO CRASH TEST MULE – READY

Our efforts invested in the development of the C_Two are beginning to take shape, and the crash test mule is ready. It represents all the big and small decisions, the what ifs, hows, but most of all the WHY NOTs over the last few years. What you see in these photos are the people who are making it happen. We all, in one way or another, chipped in. Before it leaves to face the real world: the walls and poles it will be crashed into, we signed it for good luck.

RIMAC C_TWO in FORZA HORIZON 4

CRASHING THE RIMAC C_TWO... FIVE TIMES.

The Rimac C_Two is undergoing a massive program of crash-testing alongside hundreds of other official assessments as a part of its global homologation process.

You can now own a stake in Rimac's sister company - Greyp Bikes

The fully-fledged homologation process, without any shortcuts, is a huge task for a small-volume manufacturer as it mirrors the processes undertaken by much bigger brands. The process from the first concepts, to full prototypes, to cars on the road, is a three to four-year process.

In addition to the homologation, we are performing thousands of tests to ensure the performance, durability, and reliability of all systems. This intensive program ensures that our hypercar is safe and road-legal worldwide, enabling us to deliver cars to our customers in every major global market. We decided to bring you along on our journey, showing you everything – even the tough-to-watch crash tests.
